Privacy Policy -  When you login, I may monitor and/or record your username and password, the date and time you logged in, and your  IP address to see if you logged in using different computers.  When you specify a search, I may monitor what criteria you used in your search.  When you see a roster of properties that fit your search, and you select a specific record for full information on that record, I may record this also.  If I see persistent and/or unusual activity, I will contact you via email and ask you about it.  CountyRealty does not share this information with anyone whatsoever.

Update: April  12, 2019: Terms of Use Policy -  The Registrant (you) acknowledges entering into a lawful consumer-broker relationship with Participant (aka CountyRealty); that you have a bona fide interest in the purchase, sale, or lease of real estate of the type being offered through the VOW; that all data obtained from the VOW is intended only for the Registrant's personal, non-commercial use; and that Registrant will not copy, redistribute or retransmit any of the data or information provided except in connection with your consideration of the purchase or sale of an individual property.

CountyRealty obtains property data from a variety of sources; which include but is not limited to, the Jackson County Board of REALTORS (JCBOR) mls database, the Broker Listing Cooperative® (BLC) database, Sheriff Sale records, tax records, and others.  Until a planned conversion date of June 1, 2019; property records displayed on this site may come from a variety of sources.  Ideally, there will be no duplication of records; if you spot one please notify CountyRealty for corrective action.  It is, however, possible that JCBOR may show some properties on/off the market and BLC may show complimentary/contradictory information during this transition period.  The goal of CountyRealty is to provide the most robust data set regarding homes in Jackson County, Indiana; regardless of the data source.

Some entities, such as the JCBOR MLS and  the BLC database, have ownership interests in the data provided, and may own copyrights therein. It is important that you are aware of, and acknowledge their ownership(s) and the validity of their copyrights in their respective database.   If the property record source is from JCBOR or BLC; either MLS can also access the CountyRealty VOW to verify compliance with MLS rules and to monitor displays of information thereon.  Sheriff Sale and Tax Record information is public record, and therefore has no copyright claims to the data displayed.

Each data provider is named on each full property record in the DISCLAIMER section.  (New as of 4/12/2019)  This is in addition to the name of the Listing Broker and their Brokerage.

These Terms do not impose any financial obligation on the Registrant or create any representation agreement between the Registrant and the Participant.  Any agreement entered into at any time between the Participant and Registrant imposing a financial obligation on the Registrant or creating representation of the Registrant by the Participant must be established separately from the Terms of Use, must be prominently labeled as such, and may not be accepted solely by mouse click.

This  Terms of Use Agreement shall also expressly authorize the Broker Listing Cooperative® listing service, and other Broker Listing Cooperative® listing service Participants or their duly authorized representatives, (and similar entities of the JCBOR) to access the VOW for the purposes of verifying compliance with Broker Listing Cooperative® listing service rules and monitoring display of Participants’ listings by the VOW.
