Nursing Care Benefit for Veterans In the spring of 2006; the Seymour Evening Lions Club had the good fortune to have a representative from Covered Bridge Health Campus of Seymour give us a speech. She was very enthusiastically telling us about a Veteran Benefit Program she uses to secure nursing home care (short or long term). Covered Bridge Health Campus 812-523-6405. I am so sorry I don't have the young lady's name, but I was too busy scribbling "the good stuff" to catch her name. If you are an eligible Veteran, you will need to visit the VA website at www.VA.gov and do a search for forms. (Click here for a direct link!) These are easily obtainable by using their "search" box and keying in "form 21-526" and "form 21-8416" For assistance in completing the forms and/or questions, call the VA at 1-800-827-1000. Alternatively, you can also call "Veterans Financial Services Inc." (VFSI). They have helped many families of veterans qualify for this benefit as well as provide good information on relevant planning.
